Project Update: Interbay Self Storage

PU Interbay

Over the next week at Interbay Self Storage in North Seattle, the project team will be completing the structural steel and decking, with deck pours on the remaining three stories scheduled to be completed by the end of February.

The Interbay Self Storage project is a four story self-storage building that is a tilt and structural steel hybrid. Due to its smaller footprint yet complex design it provides challenges to build. Because the building’s footprint is so small, the team could not cast all off the exterior panels at once and had to do two tilts. The building is 92,101 square feet overall, including 1,000 square feet of Leasing and Retail area and 884 storage units.

Also in the scope of work for this project is a new roadway intersection next to an existing intersection as part of a site improvement project attached to Interbay. Sierra will be adding in new traffic lights, sidewalk, gutter, and re-striping the existing road to feed into the new intersection being built.

The Interbay Self Storage project in North Seattle broke ground Summer of 2017.
