New Project: Eclipse Fremont

NP Eclipse Fremont

Currently under construction, Eclipse Fremont is a five-story wood-framed apartment building with 153 residential units.

Located at 909 N. 39th St. on the corner of Aurora Avenue North in the Fremont area of Seattle, this affordable housing project will be targeted to households making 50-70% of the area’s median income. Units will include studio, one and two-bedroom layouts.

Originally planned as four stories, GMD and Hybrid Architecture successfully applied to change the master use permit last year. These changes included a modification to the overall unit mix, which made one and two-bedroom units the majority versus studio dwellings.

At the ground level Eclipse Fremont will also feature five live/work units, a large fitness room, 3,000 square feet of community space for tenant use, and landscaped courtyards. With sustainability in mind, the project includes a 29kW rooftop photovoltaic installation. The roof deck will also feature over 9,000 square feet of amenity space to tenants, which includes a children’s play area.

One underground level of parking will have 52 parking stalls with 11 of EV charging stations, as well as over 30 bike stalls.

This project was funded in part by the City of Seattle and the Washington State Housing Finance Commission and will remain affordable for a minimum of 50 years.
