Puget Sound based real estate developer, Tarragon, broke ground this month on a 135-unit residential project in Bothell, WA. The six level apartment building will include five wood-framed stories of residential apartments over one story of secured parking, which includes 137 parking stalls. The unit mix will include a variety of unit types.
Unit finishes and amenities will be modern with solid-surface counters, stainless steel appliances, hard-surface floors, and open layouts with an abundance of natural light. Some units will have private patios or balconies. Building amenities include a theatre-like media room, bike room, fitness room, dog run, and a club room with a bar, pool table, shuffleboard, fireplace, and caterer’s kitchen, which is attached to an outdoor lounge deck with fire tables, grills, and gathering spaces.
Located on the corner of NE 185th Street and 102nd Avenue NE in downtown Bothell, the project is within walking distance to University of Washington Bothell, The Park at Bothell Landing, the multi-use Burke-Gilman Trail, grocers, retail and restaurants, including the new McMenamins – Anderson School. With highway 522 a 1/4 mile away, the site has easy access to I-405 and I-5.
Bothell’s population has grown 10% since 2010 (source: 2015 US Census Bureau), partly due to high-tech businesses moving into Snohomish County and the city’s downtown enhancements. “We are excited to be part of Bothell’s growth,” says Dennis Rattie, president of Tarragon, “There has been tremendous investment interest in the area as a result of the great work the city and others have done. We’re looking forward to contributing to the community’s success.”
Tarragon’s Bothell apartment project is anticipated to begin occupancy in Spring 2018.
