TCO: Blackbird Apartments

blackbird

"All, the Blackbird Team is proud to announce that we achieved TCO this afternoon with residents on our heels to get in this weekend. This project consisting of 159 units of apartments in Downtown Redmond faced many unique hurdles and design challenges including OKO fiber cement cladding slats from Austria, Latch smart access control systems (first open building in the state), and no soffits within units for venting. We’re excited to turn it over to one of the best Ownership groups I’ve had the privilege of working with. As draining and never-ending as these projects can be it sure makes it a hell of a lot easier to sit down at a table for a weekly OAC with Owners who are on your team. This project is sure to be a success for them with over 30 leases signed at opening in what is typically a dead season for lease-up.

Many thanks to May Jensen for doing all of the thankless work, Taylor Galbraith, The One and Only Muzz, Scotty Mathis (who took us all the way into framing before heading to Monroe), Brad Maddox, CJ, Lance & Trevor Wallace, Damian, Kyle the Intern, all of the many other Sierra folk and temp workers, and even Kory Knudson who helped us out along the way.

Did I mention this project looks delicious?"
