New Portland Job Assignments

"It is with much pleasure that I formally announce two recent job assignments in the Portland market;

Dan Windon will be taking on new responsibilities as the Regional General Superintendent. He will be assuming a number of Chris Kevil’s functions in Portland as Chris’ direct report for all things in the field in the Portland market. Dan’s new responsibilities include conducting regular jobsite inspections where he can bring his years of knowledge to the forefront of activities on the job as well as assist the project teams with problem solving and dispute resolution. Dan will continue to monitor manpower resource needs on the Portland projects while also acting as an advocate for the field crews. As jobsite safety is paramount, Dan will be responsible for the company’s safety program in Portland and will assist Kevil in implementing and maintaining company standards while assuring we abide by all safety codes and regulations. The most exciting aspect of Dan’s new role is of recruiter of new field talent and mentor for current field crews. He will be scouring the local area for people to join our team as he connects with our team members in the field to help them grow and improve their skill sets. Dan will be evolving into his new role once the EUG5 project is complete.

John Barnes is moving to Portland to take up the reigns as Regional Operations Manager. John will expand his role of providing oversight and assistance to the project management teams on all the projects in the Portland market. He will be reporting directly to Rick Basnaw on the status of the Portland area projects as well as leading the charge on new project procurement and existing client relations. Estimating consistency and proposal presentation will be another important aspect of John’s new role. He will also focus on our region-wide quality assurance program and dispute resolution issues. John will be monitoring the pulse of all the activities in the southern region as he helps to assure success for our customers and our company in the Portland area. The Barnes will be taking up residency in downtown Portland on October 8th.

We very much appreciate both of these 20+ year teammates stepping up to take on more responsibility at a time of phenomenal growth and expanded opportunities for us all. There is a lot to look forward to in the coming months and years, this investment in the Portland market will help us make the best of those opportunities."
