New Hire: Jesus Mendoza

Introducing Project Engineer, Jesus Mendoza! Coming to us from the University of Washington, Jesus grew up in Kennewick, WA. He first heard about Sierra during one of the UW career fairs. "After attending the career fair at the UW, I asked my aunt, since she has been in the construction industry for over 20 years, for her input on several companies that I was interested in. When I mentioned Sierra, she said that she had worked with Sierra in a few projects and she recommended me to look further into it. I looked at all the projects that Sierra has worked on and I liked the diverse portfolio that the company has as well as the family-like culture among all the employees." Welcome Jesus!

What is one thing you couldn't live without?
Coffee.

If you weren't in construction what would you be doing?
If I wasn’t in construction (GC), I would be working as an Architect. If I wasn’t in the construction industry at all, I would be on the health care industry.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I have been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

What is your favorite fruit? What about least?
Guavas! Don't have a least favorite really; I eat anything.

What is your dream vacation?
Rome, Italy.
